Format: 2-day in-person masters meeting (high faculty ratio), 4 cadaver stations, 8 specimens

Modules:

• Occipito-cervical fusion
• C1–C2 arthrodesis
• Subaxial fixation and fusion
• Cervicothoracic fixation and fusion
• Full endoscopic posterior cervical decompression

Learning objectives

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

1. Select appropriate indications and construct strategies for posterior cervical OPEN and MISS fixation and fusion across O-C, C1–C2, subaxial, and cervicothoracic regions.
2. Plan safe trajectories and define segment-specific safety margins and stop points using intraoperative imaging/navigation.
3. Execute posterior MISS workflow steps: patient positioning, paramedian corridor creation, anchor placement, rod delivery, reduction, and fusion-bed preparation (specimen-based).
4. Configure and verify OR workflow for intraoperative 3D imaging, navigation, and robotic guidance (registration, accuracy checks, drift detection).
5. Apply radiation discipline (time–distance–shielding, scan strategy) and document quality metrics.
6. Recognize and manage intraoperative failure modes (malregistration, trajectory deviation, fixation compromise) and implement Plan B.
7. Apply Navigation, Intraoperative 3D Imaging and Robotics)
